The present experiments was conducted to study the effects of dietary compound acidifier on growth performance, carcass characteristics, meat quality, nutrient metabolism, pH of digestive tract, intestinal microbiota and biochemical indicators of blood in broilers.4501-day-old healthy Arbor Acre broilers were selected and randomly allotted into6treatments, each treatment consisted of three replicates with25broilers in each replicate. Compound acidifier were added to the basal diet of the six treatments with the dosage of0%,0.10%,0.15%,0.20%,0.25%and0.30%, respectively. The feeding trial lasted42days. The experimental diets and water were available ad libitum during the entire experimental period. Results were showed as follows:Experiment1:Effects of different level of acidifiers supplement on growth performan-ce,carcass characteristics and meat quality of broilers. The experimental broilers at the age of1d,7d,14d,21d,35d,42d were weighted, and the daily gain, feed intake and mortality situation were recorded. The compound acidifier supplement increased the average daily gain(0to42days) and body weight, reduced feed intake and the ratio of feed intake to gain(0to42days)(P<0.05). Death ratio among treatments showed no significance on0-42days (P>0.05). Supplementation of compound acidifie could significantly increased the half net carcass rate, breast meat ratio and leg meat ratio andimmune organs(P<0.05),without affecting slaughter ratio and the abdominal fat ratio(P>0.05).The chest tendernesses and the water holding capacities were reduced significantly (P<0.05), and no significant impact on muscle pH(P>0.05). There were not significant difference in breast meat composition contents, protein and ash in leg muscle was increased significantly (P<0.05).Experiment2:Effects of different level of acidifiers supplement on diets acidification and the apparent metabolic rate of broilers. Two chickens (1male,l female) from each group on7d,14d,21d,35d,42d were selected as experimental animals to study apparent metabolization ratio of nutrition in diet. Results showed that, the compound acidifier supplement significantly (P<0.05) reduced the pH and date acid-binding capacity of diets significantly, increase the energy level and the apparent digestibility of crude protein, energy,Ca and P on7d,14d,21d and35d (P<0.05).Experiment3:Effects of different level of acidifiers supplement on pH of intestinal tract and microflora of broilers. Two chickens (1male,1female) from each group on on21d and42d, were slaughtered and the gastrointestinal paragraphs pH were determined and the samples of the contents of jejunum, ileum and cecum were cultured in vitro count the quantity of E.coli, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.Acidifier reduced the pH of craw, proventriculus, gizzard and duodenum contents on21d (P<0.05); there were no significant difference in the pH of jejunum, ileum and cecum contents on21d (P>0.05); there were no significant difference in the pH of craw, proventriculus, gizzard, duodenum, jejunum, ileum and cecum contents on42d (P>0.05). The acidifier reduced the population of E.coli in ileum, intestinum jejunum and cecum on21d and42d of the experiment (P<0.05); there were significantly increased bifidobacterium and lactobacillus in ileum, intestinum jejunum and cecum on21d and42d of the experiment(-P>0.05).Experiment4:Effects of different level of acidifiers supplement on properties of blood and the acid-base balance of broilers. Each treatment group selected2chickens(1male,l female) on21d and42d, collected venous blood from the wing root, determined the blood parameters and body acid-base balance. The compound acidifier supplement significantly increased the total protein, serum albumin content on21day and globular protein on42day(P<0.05).The acidifier significantly reduced the contents of pH、Ca2+、Na+on21day in the serum (P<0.05); there were not significant difference in HCO3-、P3+、Cl-、K+on21day in the serum (P>0.05); there were not significant difference in the acid-base balance on42day(P>0.05). The compound acidifier supplementation significantly reduced the blood uric acid and the urea nitrogen content, and incresed the triglyceride ester content (P<0.05) of21-day-old broilers, without affecting of the blood glucose level, total cholesterollevel on21day (P>0.05), and blood physiological and biochemical parameters of42-day-old broilers (P>0.05).
