Characteristic tobacco refers to the quality characteristics which are different from other tobacco, and these characteristics can be accepted by industry, used in cigarette formulations. With distinct regional characteristics and quality style, characteristic tobacco is an important part of building the tobacco material system in China. As the most important raw material, due to differences in climatic conditions, cultivation, varieties and soil, tobacco displayed different quality style, formed various features unlike the traditional characteristics. Characteristic tobacco emphasized the particularity, stability, availability and scale characteristics.In order to promote the rational distribution of tobacco agriculture, the need for a scientific and rational tobacco-growing division is necessary. The research, according to construction of Bijie City’s specialty tobacco unit, took the seven unit planning for example and do a survey and analysis of status quo of ecological conditions, production infrastructure, as well as laying the foundation for scientific and rational planning.For the supporting technology in the production of tobacco in the unit, which use double water unit as a research base, the experiment researched technology research which had different cropping patterns of the flue-cured tobacco, improve the availability of upper leaves seven technology research and so on.The experiments showed that:a line of double ridge tobacco planting pattern fit the base unit; nanjiang three in a double row ridges cultivation mode is better than that of the control cultivation mode; application of microbial agents on the upper leaf surface area for a certain role; screening of50%napropamide as a base unit of the chemical herbicide; production demonstration showed characteristic tobacco production yield and output value is higher than that of conventional cultivation; research results can be used as a base unit characteristic tobacco production technical measures.
