A Study On Seedless Cultivar Breeding And Cultivation Techniques Of Ponkan(Cirus Reticulata Blanco) In Luxi

Ponkan(Citrus reticulate Blanco) is a special friut and the second largest mandarin planted in China.The advantage of Ponkan development is obvious in Hunan province for huanglong disease of Ponkan in recent years. Four big advantage industry of Ponkan and its main production province have developed Ponkan for20years. By2010, planting areas of Ponkan reached30000mu, with an annual yield of180,000tons and output value of0.18buillion yuan RMB. Ponkan is the main fruit industry in LuXi county to support the economy of this county area and promote the income of peasant. At present, the main planting breed of Ponkan is symplectic female Ponkan. Although its properties are good, many seeds are inconvenient for fresh consuming and restricted the market competition. Therefore breeding seedless/few seed Ponkan cultivars with the good quality and high-yield is very important for the sustainable prodction of Ponkan. So, the writer has taken part in or hold the seed selection of Ponkan in LuXi. The results of present study are as follows:1. Early-ripe seed ’early honey’ seedless Ponkan, which is a new early-ripe breed, was successfully obtained via bud sport selection.This breed with observation of comprehensive characters of single strain matures before20to30days than the others. Seedless/Few seed, good quality and high yield are a new rarely seedless/few seed, bearing and high sugar breed for Ponkan.2. Newly seedless Ponkan09-1was selected by primary selection.This plant has single strain seedless. Although planted with seed Ponkan has seedless and superior to symplectic female Ponkan of LuXi and other seedless Ponkan in many characters. Therefore,09-1seedless Ponkan is main selected breed in the west of Hunan.3. Seedless citrus quality and efficient cultivation technology research.This research is based on symplectic female ponkan cultivation technology as the foundation, in view of the seedless ponkan characteristics, the original planting technology to improvement, adjustment, overcome seedless ponkan production problems, and introducing the current situation of citrus some excellent advanced cultivation technology, form a relatively perfect seedless ponkan quality and efficient cultivation technology.(1) to carry out "early honey" premature seedless ponkan facility cultivation technology research. Through the membrana tectoria facilities cultivation test, advance the "early honey" seedless citrus mature10-15days, and at the same time, improve its quality. (2) LuXi ponkan garden soil fertility conditions and formula fertilization technology researchSurvey LuXi ponkan garden soil fertility problems, through the formula fertilization technology research, and had fertilizer N, P, K utilization (%), relative production and relative absorbed dose, maximum yield rate of fertilizer application and best economic rate of fertilizer application.(3) Establish seedless ponkan quality and efficient cultivation technology regulations.Through the seedless ponkan characteristic observation investigation and system research, this paper puts forward the opening of the standardization, flower fruit control management, pest control, timely recovery and fresh-keeping, commercialized processing and so on many seedless ponkan early high and high quality cultivation techniques procedure.
