Currently, the meteorological factors of the fertility sensitive security period, heading and flowering security period and harvest mature security period during the Dual-Purpose Genie Male Sterile rice seed production have a direct impact on the quality and the yield of seed production. To solve this problem, take advantage of the rich meteorological resource for the two-line hybrid rice seed production, and find the best place and period of the two-line hybrid rice seed production, this study adopted C#as the development language and the SQL Server2008as the background database and established the decision support system for seed-breeding base and time period selection of Two-line Hybrid Rice, which is based on the analysis of the meteorological data of740meteorological stations across the country in50years.The system can greatly reduce the risks caused by the climate factors to the two-line hybrid rice seed production, and achieve the high yield, high purity and high efficiency of two-line hybrid rice seed production.The system’s main research achievements are as follows:1. The calculation is based on the physiological property of the "Three Security Periods" of two-line hybrid rice, the analysis of historical meteorological data and the meteorological index elements of different security periods. The analysis result is stored in security period meteorological index data base for users’query.2. Queries can be carried out on historical meteorological data from1951to2000. The queries include the average daily temperature, rainfall, sunshine hours and relative humidity. Queries can be divided into two forms:tables and line charts.3. The realization of single query to a start date for one security period at a specified location. Suppose a sterility threshold temperature is23℃, the cycle length is14days, the study took the typical locations of the two-line hybrid rice seed as examples, such as Sanya Hainan, Linshui Hainan and Yancheng Jiangshu, and the system analysis showed that the period from April23rd to September24th in Sanya Hainan, the period from April10th July13to September30th in Linshui Hainan, and the period from July13th to August6th in Yancheng Jiangshu could be advisable start dates of fertility sensitive security period.4. The realization of comprehensive query to a start date for three security periods at a specified location. Suppose a sterility threshold temperature of a two-line hybrid rice fertility sensitive security period is23℃. the cycle length is14days, the qualified rate of meteorological index is100%, the maximum temperature of heading and flowering security period is30℃, the minimum temperature is24℃, the humidity upper limit is90%, the lower limit is70%, the rainfall upper limit is1Mm(That is almost no rainfall.), the cycle length of heading flowering security period is8days, the qualified rate of meteorological index is above80%, The rainfall upper limit of the variety’s harvest mature security period is10Mm, the cycle length is8days, the qualified rate of meteorological index is above80%. The intervals of these three security periods are5days and10days. According to above comprehensive queries, the analysis result is Baise in Guangxi which is the best seed production base for the breeding of Two-line hybrid rice across the country. The best start dates for the fertility sensitive security period are September6th and September7th. In this place and at this start date, the arrangement of seed production of Two-line Hybrid Rice can fully meet three security periods" meteorological index.The conclusion based on the analysis of meteorological data by the system is corresponding with the actual situation of seed production of Two-line Hybrid Rice.
