The old and valuable trees are a long history of the witness, are also a sign of the social civilization level, also a history and nature to our precious wealth. They are the witness of the environment and the historical changes, the carrier of culture, is "living cultural relic" and "green antique", for modern city planning tree species has important reference value. This research topic from Green Committee of Anhui Province, in full sums up the related research achievements at home and abroad, reference on the basis of the experience of regional management and protection of old and valuable trees successfully, through investigation, analysis and research, summarized the old and valuable trees of various types of data, the development of the old and valuable trees in information management and early warning system for the management and protection of a nationwide campaign to old and valuable trees provide technical reference, and have business applications and popularization of the value significance. The article divided into two parts:the old and valuable trees information management system and predict early warning system, specific research content as follows:1) Based on the collected old and valuable trees information material, and the relevant for statistical data and finishing, and on the basis of using SQL Server2005establish old and valuable trees database.2) Establishment of the old and valuable trees database on ArcGIS Map9.3platform (mainly attribute database, the spatial database), mainly includes:the old and valuable trees of various hierarchical spatial database; Hefei general overview of the entire subordinate country library; each county overview layer:contains the old and valuable trees administrative zoning map layer.3) Through the first two of the work, using Visual Studio2005, ArcGIS Server9.3development tool and C#programming language to construct the old and valuable trees information management system, complete the design and development of the system, including hardware, software platform choice and system function structure design, and a lot of old and valuable trees information storage and management with high efficiency, in order to achieve the visual query capabilities of the information management system.4) Use radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, the Android operating system and JAVA programming language to set up preliminary forecast and warning system of the old and valuable trees, effectively help managers to solve the unexpected problems in the management and protection of the old and valuable trees process, to lay a solid foundation for further development system, more future subject research to provide perfect technical support.Based on the analysis, we can draw the following conclusion. Firstly, we introduce the GIS technology to build the old and valuable trees information management and early warning system which is based on the GIS technology is practical and has many advantages:Secondly. the old and valuable trees information management and early warning system based on the GIS has certain operational and scientific. For management unit, at all levels of the government management department, as well as experts to provide information sharing platform, and provide technical support for the in-depth study on the subject; Finally, the design plan, system framework and system realization method of the new system provides an idea and technical support for managing valuable resources in our country’s forestry field. It will benefit the building of information management and early warning system which is based on the GIS technology in other fields.
