Objective:The closure clicks of mechanical heart valve prostheses, leaflets arequite often clearly audible. The study describes the valve noise difference among di-fferent kinds of mechanical heart valve and the influence on the quality of life of thepatients by the valve noise. Methods: From June2011to March2012,119patients with mitral valve mecha-nical valve replacement were divided into3groups:GK group, SJM group and CM gr-up. Left ventricular diastolic diameter (LVED), left ventricular stroke volume(Sv) an-d left ventricular ejection fration(LVEF). We use the Tecman digital sound level met-er834(TM834) external stethoscope membrane to measure the valve noise on thepoint of precordial auscultation where loudest noise. Results: The level of the valve noise of GK was68.3±7.0dB, the SJM was69.9±7.2dB, and the CM was70.1±7.2dB, The difference between the three groups wasnot statistically significant. Different sex, age, body mass index (BMI), Heart rhythmbetween patients with different valve noise level differences are not statistically sign-ificant too. Heart rate and BMI are not related to the pressure of the valve noise.Q-uality of life of the affected to different degrees between patient valve n-oise sizedifferences are not statistically significant. Conclusion: The level of the valve noise were not related to the type of valve, a-ge, gender, or heart rhythm. The relationship between the LVEF and the the press-ure of the valve noise need further research. The reason for the level of valve no-ise is still unclear, may be a variety of factors. The complains about the valve soundwere not related to the level of the sound, but mainly depends on the patient’s sense ofself. |
