Objective Explore the related risk factors of portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) in patients with primary liver cancer, to provide the reference for primary liver cancer portal tumor emboli early diagnosis and treatment. Methods A total number of654patients with primary liver cancer from January2009to January2011in Our hospital were included in this retrospective study. Patients were divided into two groups according to portal vein tumor emboli or not,196examples and458examples. single factor and multiple factors analysis approach were adopted to analyze risk factors, such as age, sex, nationality, blood type, course of the disease, combined liver cirrhosis, ascites, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, liver function index, tumor markers and pathology, tumor general type, organization credits type and the correlation of PVTT formation, and concluded that the related risk factors related to PVTT.Results There were196cases with PVTT in654cases of primary liver cancer patients, accounted for30%(196/654). Single factor analysis show that age, gender, blood type, course of the disease, combined liver cirrhosis, ascites, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, Child-Pugh grading, AST, GGT, ALB, PT,CA125, CA15-3, AFP, HBsAg, HBeAg, tumor general type were related to PVTT. the patient’national, CEA, CA19-9, TBil, ALT, plt, HBV-DNA, HCV, organization credits type have nothing to do with PVTT. Logistic regression analysis showed that age, blood type, GGT, AFP, tumor general type had statistical significance between the two groups. Conclusions Patients with age between40years old and49years old, Type B blood, elevated serum GGT, PT extend, diffuse type were PVTT independent risk factors.
