| ObjectiveTo investigate the therapeutic effect of cardamomã€semen alpiniae katsumadai on vomiting in minks.Methods1. Male minks were divided into several groups:the blank control, the model control, ondansetron group, cardamom soup group and semen alpiniae katsumadai soup group. The minks in every group were administrated saline, saline, ondansetron, cardamom soup, semen alpiniae katsumadai soup group, respectively for2days, once a day. And except the blank control, the other groups injected cisplatin in the second day. The latency and the times of retching and vomiting episodes were recorded in the following6hours.2. The minks in every group were administrated saline, saline, metoclopramide, cardamom soup, semen alpiniae katsumadai soup respectively,30mins later, except the blank control, the other groups were taken copper sulfate by administration. The latency and the times of retching and vomiting episodes were recorded in the following6hours.3. Male minks were divided into several groups:the blank control, the model control, metoclopramide group, cardamom soup group, and semen alpiniae katsumadai soup group. The minks in every group were administrated saline, saline, metoclopramide, cardamom soups, semen alpiniae katsumadai soup respectively,30mins later, except the blank control, the other groups subcutaneously injected apomorphine. The latency and the times of retching and vomiting episodes were recorded in the following6hours. Results1. Compared to the cisplatin, copper sulfate, apomorphine induced mink model groups, the latency of cardamom groups were longer significantly, the times of retching and vomiting episodes decreased significantly. The cardamom soup group (5ml·kg-1) can significantly decrease the times of retching and vomiting in the cisplatin, copper sulfate, apomorphine induced mink models.2. Compared to cisplatin, copper sulfate, apomorphine induced mink model groups, the latency of semen alpiniae katsumadai soup groups were longer.The semen alpiniae katsumadai soup (5ml·kg-1) group can decrease the times of retching and vomiting episodes.ConclusionCardamom soup and semen alpiniae katsumadai soup can delay the episode of cisplatin, copper sulfate, apomorphine induced latency in minks. The times of retching and vomiting episodes decreased. The cardamom soup (5ml·kg-1) possesses better anti-emetic effect. |
