Objective: To observe obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(for short OSAHS) andOSAHS combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus(for short T2DM) patients the variation of theserum Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(for short MCP-1), Cystatin C(for short Cys C) .Anddiscuss the possible pathogenesis and mechanisms of OSAHS and combined withT2DM.Analysis the effect of nasal continuous positive air pressure(for short nCPAP) treatmentfor serum MCP-1,Cys C and blood glucose levels in OSAHS combined with T2DM patients. Methods: All selected objects are given full night polysomnography monitor, must more than 7hours. All subjects were excluded from heart, brain, kidney, lung, liver and other vital organsillness. With the diagnostic criteria of OSAHS and T2DM, were divided into 28 cases of OSAHSgroup (for short O group), OSAHS with T2DM group (referred to as the OD group) 28 cases, simply T2DM group (for short DM group) 28 cases, choose another 28 cases normal controlgroup (for short group N). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were detected in allselected serum MCP-1 and Cys C level.20 cases of moderate and severe OSAHS with T2DMpatients received nCPAP curing after 30 days, and review of the PSG, fasting plasma glucose(FPG), to observe the changes in serum concentration of MCP-1 and Cys C.Results:1.O group, DM group and the OD group, the serum MCP-1 and Cys C were higherincreased than those in group N (p <0.05). The level of the OD group is the highest. TheOD group compared with the O group and DM group, the serum levels of MCP-1 and Cys Cwere significant difference (p<0.05). O group compared with the DM group, differences of thelevels of serum MCP-1 and Cys C is not significantly.2. The serum MCP-1 and Cys C levels in OD group are decreased after nCPAP therapythan before(p<0.05).3. The serum MCP-1 and Cys C levels and AHI, FPG have a positive correlation; The serumMCP-1 and Cys C levels and LSO2, MSO2 have a negative correlation(p<0.05,respectively).Conclusion:1. MCP-1 and Cys C may be involved in the occurrence and developmentof OSAHS combined with T2DM.2. The levels of MCP-1 and Cys C can reflect the severity of OSAHS and hypoxemia.3. After the nCPAP, the conditions of the patients with OSAHS combined with T2DM wereimproved, the levels of MCP-1 and Cys C were declined, so nCPAP is a therapeutic method.
