Objective1. To survey the neck circumference and daytime sleepiness in OSAHS patients with AIS, and assess patients’neural function defect.2. To explore the changes in neural function after nasal continuous positive airway pressure treatment (nCPAP).Methods1. All study subjects were detected by PSG. Divided those patients into three groups, AIS group (A group).20samples; OSAHS group (O group),20samples; and OSAHS with AIS group (OA group).42samples. Patients’neural function defect was assessed by a standard clinical neurological defect scale.2. The OA group was randomly divided into the control group (22samples) and intervention group (20samples). The former was given conventional treatment, and the latter was given nCPAP therapy besides the conventional treatment.3. To observe the change in neural function defect in intervention and the control group patients after1month nasal-continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP) treatment.Results1. The OA group patients’ neck circumference and Epworth scores are different with the A group patients’(P<0.01).2. In contrast to the O group, neurobehavioral scores is higher in OA group (P<0.01), and was highest in OA group.3. The neurobehavioral score is positively correlated with AHI, ODI, Epworth scores, neck circumference (all P<0.01) and negatively correlated with LSaO2and MSaO2(all P<0.01).4. The neural function defect and Epworth scores are decreased in OA group after nCPAP treatment (all P<0.05).Conclusion1. OSAHS is one of the risk factors with AIS.2. The neural function defect of the OSAHS patients with AIS aggravated as the disease exacerbated.3. The Epworth scores and the neurobehavioral scores can be decreased by nCPAP treatment.
