Objective The aim of this study was to compare the levels of cytokines IL-17and IL-23in the peri-implant sulcular fluid (PISF) between the group of peri-implantitis and peri-implantar healthy patients. To determine the effect of IL-17and IL-23in the peri-implantitis, as well as the relationship between the two when the peri-implantitis occurs. Methods According to peri-implant cases (PD, SBI) were divided into3groups, healthy implant, peri-implantitis, healthy natural teeth. Collect the PISF and determine the concentration of IL-17and IL-23by using ELISA method. Results The concentration of IL-17and IL-23was significantly higher in the peri-implantitis group when compared to healthy implant (p<0.01). The normal implant group was slightly higher than the control group (P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant, found. GCF volume and the concentration of IL-17and IL-23were positively correlated with PD and SBI. There was a significant positive correlation between the concentration of IL-17and IL-23in the peri-implantitis group. Conclusion The concentration of IL-17and IL-23were positively correlated with the incidence of peri-implantitis. IL-17and IL-23can form IL-23-IL-17immune response pathway in the incidence of peri-implantitis. In summary, IL-17and IL-23can be used as a diagnostic peri-implantitis and to reflect the status of the peri-implantitis objective indicators.
