It can supplementing qi and nourishingyin, activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis, and palpitationstabilizing sedative.Mirtazapine as a noradrenergic and specific5-HTantidepressants drug, its antidepressant effects have been obtained goodcurative effect in clinical. This clinical observation,using TCM combinedwith clinical direction method, using the traditional Chinese medicine" heartGoverning Mind" theory, by application of Wenxin Granule on the basis ofmirtazapine antidepressant effection, to observe the serum of norepinephrine(NE), five-HT (5-HT) and dopamine (DA) level changes, to discuss thetreatment of depression of the new thinking, new method.Methods: with depression criteria for the diagnosis of43patients wererandomly divided into two groups: study group and control group. The studygroup22cases, in13males and9females;21cases in the control group,10males and11females; The study group combined with mirtazapine tablets(trade name assigned MDS, Huayu Wuxi Pharmaceutical Company Limited,batch number H20041656), medication methods:30mg every night.AndWenxin Granule (sugar free, limited company of pharmacy of Shandong step,batch number Z10950026) medication methods:5g3times a day after meal,take8weeks in total. The control group only use mirtazapine treatment,medication methods:30mg every night, take8weeks in total.(Two groupsstop before taking any other antidepressant medications, and1week washoutperiod). Two groups after treatment were assessed by the HamiltonDepression Rating Scale (HAMD), the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI) and side effect scale (TESS) and observed the serum NE,5-HT,DA level changes.Results:1, Wenxin Granule Combined with mirtazapine in the treatment ofdepression effection is good, by the Milton Depression Scale (HAMD), thePittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) score, two groups difference has statistics significance (P <0.05).2, Wenxin Granule Combined withmirtazapine on serum NE,5-HT effection is better than DA.3, WenxinGranule Combined with mirtazapine in the treatment of depression is highsafety, less side reaction, through the reaction scale (TESS) score, two groupsdifference has statistics significance (P <0.01).Conclusions:1, Wenxin Granule Combined with mirtazapine cansignificantly improve patients’ depression situation, improve patients’ sleepquality, relief of somatizate symptoms, improve the quality of patients’ life，and reduce mirtazapine antidepressant side effects.2, Wenxin GranuleCombined with mirtazapine in treatment of depression, influence to the serumNE,5-HT, DA.But it closely related to5-HT and NE.3, From the "heartGoverning Mind" theory, depression closely related to the viscera in TCMheart."treat depression by heart"and" ataraxia" are new ideas in the treatmentof depression.
