Objective To discuss the operative outcomes of posterior condyle tibial plateaufracture by posterior inverse "L" approach. Methods From August2007to August2010,10patients of posterior condyle tibialplateau fracture were treated by posterior inverse "L" approach.Results10patients were followed up for an average of13.5(ranging from12to24)months.X-ray showed that all patients was achieved reduction of anatomyimmediately after operation. All fractures got united with an average X-ray bone uniontime of15(range from12-17)weeks and an average full weight-bearing time of17(rangefrom15-24)week.The average ROM(range of motion) of the affected knee joints was5°-130°at12mouths postoperatively. The average HSS score was87.3(range from64-93),the rate of "excellent and good" was90%。 There was no incisioninfection, fixation failure or bone nonunion. Conclusion Open reduction and internal fixation with buttress plates via a posteriorinverse "L" approach is appropriate for treatment of posterior condyle tibial plateaufracture.
