The root of the plant is commonly used as medicine to relieve rheumatic pains, invigorate the circulation of blood, tonify the kidney and strengthen the tendons. In traditional Chinese medicine, Securinega suffruticosa has been widely used to treat facial never paralysis, Post polio syndrome, dizziness, epicophosis, neurasthenia, hypersomnia, impotence and so on.The roots, stems, leaves, flowers and the bark of Securinega suffruticosa, all contain the alkaloids, of these Securinine is the major component. The stem has tannin compounds, starch and various kinds of amino acids, the leaf contains Rutin, the seeds are rich of oil (7.12%). According to the report, phenolic compounds have been separated from it recently, such as gallic acid, bergenin, coril, helioscopini B, geraniin, norbergenin, gallocatchin, etc. Some trace elements are also found.In this experiment, the dry herbs is heated by methanol reflux extraction, with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, n-butanol for gradient extraction, and then separate monomer compounds from extraction layer through the chromatography technology At last, the antioxidation activity is also researched.The experimental results show that by repeatly using the silica gel column chromatography to separate the petroleum ether extract, ethyl acetate extract, butylalcohol extract, we get eight monomer compounds totally. According to the physical and chemical properties, and13C-NMR、1H-NMR spectrum data analysis, the following structures are appraised, the beta sitosterol β-sitosterol(1),virosecurinine (2), corilagin(3), rutin (4), dibutyl phthalate (5), daucosterol (6), rbergenin (7), gallic acid (8). And the oxidation resistance test results show that:monomer compounds3、4、8have obvious antioxidant effect.
