Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine The Liuwei Anxiao Capsule Combined With Gastrointestinal Pacing In Patients With Functional Constipation Clinical Observation

Objective:The subject researches into Clinical efficacy of Functional constipation by treatment of the combination of Liuwei Anxiao capsule with gastrointestinal pacing. Observations of Clinical symptom, Electrointestinogram, serum substance P (SP) and vasoactive peptide (VIP) changes and long-term effect in functional constipation patients confirm Safety and efficacy of the treatment.Method:60patients with functional constipation patients were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group and the control group with30cases in each group. The treatment group was given Liuwei Anxiao capsule and continuous medication for14days. It was also given the gastrointestinal pacing for the treatment concurrently. Each time lasted30minutes and treatment period is14days. The control group was given Duphalac and continuous medication for14days. We assess treatment efficacy through symptom integral, colonic transit test, Electrointestinogram, SP, VIP change situations of the two groups. After the treatment there are two months of follow-up.Result:1. The disease mostly occurs in Middle-aged and aged people and the female patients are more than male patients and the low cultural degree patients are more than high cultural degree patients.2. Patients with functional constipation in traditional Chinese medicine typing are gas Stagnation persons. Colonic transit time of them was prolonged.3. After treatment, Electrointestinogram frequency and amplitude of Patients in treatment group has significantly improved. Difference compared with before treatment has statistics significance (P<0.05); While the frequency and amplitude of Patients in control group did not change significantly. Difference does not have statistical significance (P>0.05)4. Compared with before treatment, SP of Patients in the two groups is all increased and VIP of them is all decreased. Difference in treatment group has statistics significance (P<0.05);while in control group, there is no significant difference (P>0.05)5.After treatment, symptoms total scores of patients in two groups are better than before, there were significant differences (P<0.05), some symptoms in them of patients in treatment group surpass those in control group, including hypochondrium Bloating and belch and so on.6. To compare comprehensive curative effect after treatment, there are12recovery cases,11showing effect cases,5effective cases and2inefficacious cases in30cases of treatment group and the total effective rate was93.3%. There are8recovery cases,8showing effect cases,10effective cases and4inefficacious cases in30cases of control group and the total effective rate was86.7%. Clinical efficacy of the treatment group was superior to the control group, There is no marked statistics difference between the two groups (P>0.05);7. At follow-up, the treatment group compared with the control group, treatment group total effective rate was93.3%, control group was80%, there is no marked statistics difference between the two groups (P>0.05); Curative effect in defecation difficulty, belching and hypochondrium Bloating of treatment group was significantly better than that of control group, the difference has statistics significance (P<0.05); There is no marked statistics difference between the two groups on curative effect in stool classification (P>0.05)。8. There is no adverse reaction event in treatment group but3diarrhea cases in control group, to stop taking medicine, symptom improved.Conclusion:Combination of Liuwei Anxiao capsule with gastrointestinal pacing for the treatment of functional constipation is safe and feasible. Symptom improvement and long-term effect is superior to the control group, the total efficiency is higher than that of control group.
