Objectives:To observe the clinical efficiency with the prescription with increasing fluid and tonifying Qi on Sjogren’s syndrome (SS),explore it’s influence on autonomic dysfunction in SS patients. Methods:This research includes45patients with syndrome of Yin and Qi deficiencies, they were randomly divided into two groups, a treatment group with30cases and a control group with15cases.The treatment group was prescribed Chinese medicine decoction named the prescription with increasing fluid and tonifying Qi which was taken twice daily per decoction named increasing fluid and tonifying Qi prescription. The control group was administered hydroxychloroquine0.1g twice daily.12weeks treatment was as one course. After one treatment course,we compared the total effective rate, the clinical efficiency, the changes in symptom scores, tear and saliva flow rate, inflammatory and immune indices and the level of autoonomic dysfunction between both groups. Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group (83.3%) while the control group is56.2%, which has statistical significance (P<0.05).The scores of clinical symptoms and autonomic symptom profile(ASP), tear and saliva flow rate of both groups were significantly improved(P<0.05), while the improvement in the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group (P<0.05). In both groups, immunoglobulin G(IgG), immunoglobulin A(IgA), immunoglobulin M(IgM),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C reactive protein(CRP),the health questionnaire(SF-36) and the hospital anxiety depression scale(HAD)were significantly improved than those before treatment (P<0.05), but no significant differences were found of two groups after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:The prescription with tonifying Qi and nourishing Yin as treatment method is more effective on SS patienrs with syndrome of Yin and Qi deficiencies than the use of HCQ, and is able to improve the clinical symptoms on autonomic dysfunction in SS patients. |
