The study was toinvestigate the expression of HGF/c-Met in osteosarcoma and itscorrelation with clinicopathology. Methods: The expression of HGF/c-Met of30osteosarcomas,15callus and17multiple osteochondromatosises was detected byimmunohistochemistry. The experimental data were statistically analyzedby SPSS l9.0.Results:1.HGF express in osteosarcoma cell cytoplasm and thepositive expressive rate in osteosarcoma was40.0%(12/30). In callus HGFexpress in interstitial multinucleated giant cell cytoplasm, the positiveexpressive rate in callus was13.3%(2/15).Negative expression wasdetected in multiple osteochondromatosis. There were statistical significantdifference between osteosarcoma and multiple osteochondromatosis(P<0.001). The HGF expression in osteosarcoma increases along with the advances of Ennecking′s stage (P<0.05),The expression of HGF in groupswith and without metastasis are88.9ï¼…(8ï¼9) and19%(4/21),respectively.There is statistical significance between the two groups(P=0.001).2. c-Metexpress in the cytoplasm of parenchymal cells. the positive expressive ratewas73.3%(22/30)in osteosarcoma,40.0%(6/15)in callus and5.9%(1/17)in multiple osteochondromatosis. There were statistical significantdifference between the three groups (P<0.05). The expression of c-Met ingroups with and without metastasis are100%(9/9) and61.9%(13/21),There is statistical significance between the two groups(P=0.001).3.thecoexpression of HGF and c-Met in group with metastasis is66.7ï¼…(6ï¼9),higher than non-metastasis group14.3%(3/21)。Conclusions: The expression of HGF and c-Met increase inosteosarcoma. The expression of HGF and c-Met in osteosarcoma’smetastasis play an importantroel, and HGF expression correlated withmalignant degree of osteosarcoma. HGF and c-Met co-express inosteosarcoma cell cytoplasm, suggest that HGF/c-Met signalling promoteosteosarcoma’s metastasis through autocrine loop. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | osteosarcoma, hepatocyte growth factor, c-Met, Immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
