As one of the commonly used treatment in clinical, the method of nourishing bloodand promoting blood flow is widely used in clinical practice. The ancient physicians weremore concerned about the clinical practice, but were lack of theoretical researching indepth relatively. By way of collating and summarizing the relevant literatures and theorieson the method of nourishing blood and promoting blood flow，this thesis provides amore adequate theoretical basis for guiding clinical treatment.As the discourses of “Nei Jing” goes, the thesis expounds the conception of themethod of nourishing blood and promoting blood flow and its development as well at first.Based on a brief account of the physiological and pathological basis of nourishing bloodand promoting blood flow, the next section generalizes the physiological characters and thepathological features. It points out that the blood all demand for full-filled and free-flowing,otherwise, they turn blood deficiency or blood stasis, which could interact on each other.The thesis introduces the foundation of therapeutics and pharmaceutics of the method ofnourishing blood and promoting blood flow, and discusses the uniformity and pertinencefrom the two aspects. There are also some clinical cases which help formulating the regularpattern. The thesis has a systematic exploration on the method of nourishing blood andpromoting blood flow.
