The Correlation Study On BMD, Leptin, Estradiol And Body Weight After Electro Acupuncture At Points On Foot Shaoyang Channel In Ovariectomized Rats

objective: In this study, after electro acupuncture at points onFoot Shaoyang Channel intervene in ovariectomized rats, we found thephenomenon of weight loss while increasing bone mineral density, but it doesnot match the phenomenon of the estradiol could make the BMD increase whilethe body weight gaining,and observe the analysis after the intervention of bodyweight of rats, BMD and leptin, E2and other indicators of changes and theircorrelation, and then discussed its role in the pathways and mechanisms.Methods:40female SD rats aged6months，weight（280±10g）.The roomtemperature was kept in25士1℃.This rats were randomly divided into4groups: Sham group, OVX Control group(OVX-C), OVX Acupuncturegroup(OVX-A）and OVX Non-point Acupuncture group (OVX-N）,10in eachgroup. The Sham group was only sham operated and the other four wereovariectomy. After the operation, We have feed the four groups rats daily. BothOVX-A and OVX-N were conducted treatments three months After theoperations. We applied Yanglingquan、Huantiao、Xuanzhong、Jingmen for theOVX-A group; Non-points with the interior posterior limb for the OVX-Ngroup, There wasn’t any therapy in Sham group and OVX-C group; Monthlyweighting once weight，after intervention in the3months，Dual-energy X-rayswere used to detect the BMD of right femurs, Blood samples were taked from the hearts and Enzyme-linked Immunoadsordent Assay（ELISA）method to testthe level of leptin and E2.Results:1.After molded three months, OVX-A, OVX-C, OVX-N andSham group weight have increased significantly, the difference was statisticallysignificant(P＜0.01); after intervened3months, comparing OVX-A withOVX-C、OVX-N was significantly lower, the difference was statisticallysignificant(P＜0.01).2.After intervened3months, treating the level ofBMD/body weight adjust value were decreased in the OVX-C and OVX-N，with significant difference as compared with that in OVX-A and Sham group(P<0.01), and no significant differences between OVX-A and Sham group(P＞0.05).3.After intervened3months, Sham group than OVX-A, OVX-C, OVX-Nleptin levels appear higher, no significant difference(P＞0.05); OVX-N werelower than OVX-A, OVX-C, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05); OVX-A were higher than Sham group, the difference was not statisticallysignificant (P>0.05).4.After intervened3months, comparing OVX-A withOVX-C、 OVX-N the E2level increased, the difference was statisticallysignificant(P<0.05), no difference compared with Sham group(P=0.148); Shamgroup the E2level were higher than OVX-C、OVX-N(P＜0.01); there were nodifference between OVX-C and OVX-N(P=0.557).Conclusion:1. The electro acupuncture at points on Foot ShaoyangChannel can make increase the level of estradiol, and found the phenomenon ofweight loss while increasing bone mineral density, but it does not match thephenomenon of the estradiol could make the BMD increase while the body weight gaining, Prompted the electro acupuncture at points on Foot ShaoyangChannel and the effect of estrogen anti-osteoporosis may exist differentmechanisms, it can be avoided due to weight reasons caused by the menopausethe risk of complications of osteoporosis, and thus effectively prevent and treatosteoporosis.2. The electro acupuncture at points on Foot Shaoyang Channelmay have to prevent osteoporosis rats serum leptin levels are too high or toolow, to restore to the role of the level of sham group.
