It is of great significance to the study on the principles and mechanisms of NaiKan Cognitive Therapy. And it provides a new psychological treatment and a strong basis for the treatment of depressed disorder.Methods:70in-patients from Tianjin Anding Hospital from January to December2011meeting the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were recruited. They were assigned to study group and control group randomly. Study group patients were given NaiKan Cognitive Therapy for seven days, nine hours a day as well as taking the original drug on the basis. Patients in control group were treated with routine supportive psychotherapy on the basis of taking the original drug. By single-blind evaluation, psychological assessments were given to patients at the beginning and a week later. The doctors completed the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and Mini-mental State Examination (MMSE), whereas Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire (ATQ), Metacognitions Questionnaire-30(MCQ-30) and Cognitive Bias Questionnaire (CBQ) were completed by the patients.Results:①After treatment, in study group, the MCQ total score and the factor score of cognitive self-confidence, positive beliefs and need to control thoughts were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.01). After treatment, the factor score of cognitive self-confidence, thinking, control requires of study group were lower than that of control group (P<0.05).②After treatment, the ATQ total score of the study group patients was significantly lower than of before treatment (P<0.01).③In CBQ of study group, the factor score of depressed-distorted was significantly lower than that before treatment, the factor score of non-depressed-non-distorted was significantly higher than that before treatment. After treatment, the factor score of depressed-distorted of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the factor score of non-depressed-non-distorted of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.01).④In study group, both before and after treatment, the ATQ score was negatively related to the years of education (P<0.01). The reduction score of CBQ non-depressed-distorted was positively related to the years of education (P<0.01).⑤In study group, the reduction of MCQ total score was negatively related to the HAMD score after treatment, and it was positively related to the reduction of HAMD score (P<0.01).⑥In study group, ATQ score both before and after treatment was positively related to HAMD score before treatment, ATQ score after treatment was positively related to HAMD score after treatment (P<0.05).⑦In study group, the reduction of factor score of non-depressed-non-distorted was positively related to HAMD score before treatment. The reduction of factor score of non-depressed-non-distorted was positively related to the HAMD score after treatment. The reduction of factor score of non-depressed-non-distorted was negatively related to the reduction of HAMD score (P<0.01).Conclusions:①NaiKan Cognitive Therapy can improve patients’ metacognitions.②NaiKan Cognitive Therapy can correct the automatical thoughts of patients with depressive disorder.③NaiKan Cognitive Therapy is significantly stronger than routine supportive psychotherapy in the improvement of patients’ cognitive biases.④The patients with lower education level are easier to have automatical thoughts.⑤When we use NaiKan Cognitive Therapy to correct patients’ distorted cognition, the efficacy is related to their education level.⑥The situation of patients’ metacongnitions, automatic thoughts and cognitive biases is related to their degree of depression.⑦The efficacy of NaiKan Cognitive Therapy on correcting the patients’ cognitive biases is related to their depression degree before treatment.
