In this paper, a biomimetic method was used to build scaffoldstructure and to study its mechanical properties, resolving the difficulties inbuilding three-dimensional structure and poor mechanical properties. Results are as follows:(1) On the basis of directional deposition, electric field was introducedinto the preparation of chitosan scaffolds. Through comparison andevaluation of different materials of positive pole and differentconcentrations of chitosan solution, a new kind of three-dimensionaloriented chitosan scaffolds was prepared. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) was used to study features of the scaffolds and the results reveal thatthe scaffolds have the characteristic of loofah sponge structure. When theporosity was84%, the compressive strength was as high as0.73MPa.Furthermore, the structure and properties of the scaffolds could becontrolled by changing the voltage.(2) Porous CS/Fe3O4composite materials with cellular structure wereprepared via in-situ precipitation. Moreover, the relationship betweenstructure and performance of this material was studied. The result of XRD proved that the inorganic substances generated during in-situ precipitationwere Fe3O4magnetic particles and these particles were dispersed uniformlyin chitosan matrix. The porosity of CS/Fe3O4composite materials withcellular structure was about90%. When the mass fraction of magneticparticle was20%, the composite materials showed obvious cellularstructure and the compressive strength of the biomimetic composites was0.436MPa.
