Objective:To determine the diagnostic value of CT virtual colonoscopy (CTVC) incolorectal cancer.Materials and methods:45cases of suspected colorectal disease were collected, including27males and18females, and average age is47.5(from21to74).45patients were performedelectronic colonoscopic.42cases were confirmed colorectal cancer by pathologyand3cases were inflammation.32patients underwent enhance scan and13patients underwent plain CT scan. All patients were scanned by definitionAS+128-slice spiral CT after bowel preparation and gas injection, and withsupine position and prone position scan each. After1mm reconstruction, the scanimages were transmitted to treatment station with post-processing further, thenthe location, shape, size, involving extent of lesion and lymph node or otherorgan metastasis can be obersived.Results:42cases of neoplastic lesions (20cases of colon cancer and22cases of rectalcancer) were detected in all45patients.17cases of lump,10cases of infiltration,6cases of ulcer,9cases of mixed.4cases of liver metastases,39cases of lymphnode metastasis. CTVC displayed high sensitivity in the characterization, locationand microenvironment of colon tumor. Conclusion:Multislice spiral CT with the post-processing technology of virtual Endoscopyplay an important value in the diagnosis of colonic space occupying lesion. It notonly improve the detection, localization and characterization of lesion, theobservation of violation around the lesion, the distant organs and lymph nodemetastasis, can also learn about the lesion morphology and length of the intestinelumen.
