The Clinical Therapeutic Effect To Chronic Cough With Reverse Orders Of Strengthening And Consolidating Body Resistance Treatment

Objective:Study the clinical therapeutic effect to chronic cough with reverse orders of "Strengthening and Consolidating Body Resistance Treatment"(hereinafter referred to as "SCBRT") and "Symptomatic Treatment"(hereinafter referred to as "ST").Methods:By means of "Random Number Table Method", divide40patients who meet the standard of chronic cough into2groups:take "SCBRT" before "ST"(Group A) and take "ST" before "SCBRT"(Group B),20patients for each group. Group A:acupuncture the acupoint of strengthening and consolidating body resistance (zusanli, guanyuan, piyu, shenyu) until acuesthesia, then acupuncture the symptomatic acupoint (feiyu, zhongfu, lieque and taiyuan point); Group B takes the reversal order. However, keep the same order of acupuncturing the specific acupoints for both groups. Let the patients take a sitting position, use the mild reinforcing-reducing method after acuesthesia and acupuncture once every10minutes, keep the needles for30minutes. Two days,10times for a course of treatment;2days’ rest between treatment courses and3courses for each patient. Cough score and VAS are recorded before and after the treatments, then compare the scores.Results:1. Before the treatments, there are no significant differences of cough scores and VAS between Group A and Group B (P>0.05).2. After3treatment courses, the cough scores and VAS of Group A are obviously lower than that of Group B, which is with statistical significance (P<0.05).3. After3treatment courses, the cough scores and VAS after treatment of Group A and Group B are all obviously lower than those of Group A and Group B, which is with statistical significance (P<0.05).4. Compare the cough scores and VAS before and after treatments, the clinical therapeutic effect of Group A is apparently better than that of Group B, which is with statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusions:1. Both "SCBRT" before "ST" Method and "ST" before "SCBRT" Method can ease the chronic cough.2. To cure the chronic cough,"SCBRT" before "ST" Method is better than "ST" before "SCBRT" Method.3. Different orders of "SCBRT" and "ST" have certain influences to the cure of chronic cough.
