Ventilation Therapy Of Severe Pulmonary Injury Complicated With ARDS-40Cases Analysis

Background and Purpose:To treat the severe pulmonary injury complicated with ALI or ARDS andstudy the application timing, curing methods, the processes, as well as othersupportive treatment and post-recovery condition.Materials and methods:To retrospectively analyze the therapy of ventilation for40patientssuffered from severe pulmonary injury complicated with ARDS. All patientswere severely pulmonary-injured and their arterial blood gas indexes wereanalyzed in the early stage and the intubation or tracheostomy wasimplemented accompanied with ventilator-assisted breathing. The conditionswere as follows: Galileo breathing machine, synchronized intermittentmandatory ventilation (SIMV),6to8ml/kg tidal volume,12to18times ra/infrequency,40%FiO2,0.51.47kPa (5-15cmH20) PEEP.Results:Among40patients,35cases were cured,5cases died,3patients died ofMultiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), l patient died of disseminatedintravascular coagulation (DIC), l patient died of severe brain injury,2patientswere ventilator-dependent.Conclusions:Through the following measures the mortality of severe pulmonary injurycomplicated with ARDS can be effectively reduced and the survival and curerate can be improved too.1, Implement intubation or tracheotomy to open airway early; 2, Relieve the ventilator indications and promptly correct ALI or ARDS;3, Protective ventilation strategy is the key factors in the therapeuticstrategies of ventilation for severe pulmonary injury complicated with ARDS;4, Assess the disease condition early, correct shock promptly, treatcomplications, enhance the nutritional support and prevent variouscomplications in the late stage;...
