Objective: To explore the clinical application effect for the containingunilateral skin composite ear flap combined with the nasolabial flap reconstructthe middle area of nasal alar defects.Methods: From March2007to March2012, department of Plastic andCosmetic Surgery of the First Hospital of Jilin University, we application withcontaining unilateral skin free composite ear flap combined with the nasolabialaxis flap for a total of37patients reconstruct the middle area of unilateral nasalalar full thickness defects, to keep the front of the skin tissue of the compositeear flap for the nasal lining, the section reserved for the top of the flange skintissue to the edge of the nose, and then be used as the main blood vesselssupplying the lateral nasal artery and its branches or inner canthus artery and itsbranches nasolabial flap coverage transplanted tissue. The donor sites weresutured directly.Results: The groups of37patients are successful. Reconstruction ofnasal alar tissue defects maximum area of2.6cm×2.0cm, restored thethree-dimensional structure and morphology of the nasal alar, maintaining thenasal alar shape, curvature, color, texture, thickness, three-dimensional sense ofstructure and contralateral nasal alar and overall facial aesthetic effect of thebalance and symmetry, and the donor site scar hidden.Conclusions: Containing unilateral skin free composite ear flapcombined with the nasolabial axis flap has a reliable blood supply, free high survival rate of transplanted tissue flap flexible and easy, not only to repair themiddle area of nasal alar defects, but also repair with the tip of the nose, nasalcolumella subunit area of joint defect, it’s a very good to restore thethree-dimensional morphology of the nasal alar, and the donor site scar hidden,patients are very satisfied with the overall effect of postoperative nasal, it is a torepair the middle area of nasal alar full thickness defects very good surgicaltreatmen method.
