Pancreatic tumors is a common neoplasm in digestive system, and it is veryimportant significance of accurately grasping the criterion of diagnosis anddifferential diagnosis in pancreatic tumors. There are some chances about pancreatictumors in the book of Latest version (2010) edition of WHO Classification of Tumorsof the Digestive System comparing with that of the2006edition. Objective: Toinvestigate the clinical-pathological characteristics of pancreatic tumors in ourhospital according to the new diagnostic criterion of2010-WHO Classification, andresearch the expression of E-cad, P120and Syn in SPT and PEN to analyze thesignificance in differential diagnosis of pancreatic tumors. Methods:75cases ofpancreatic tumors were studied who were treated during2000to2012in the SecondHospital of Jilin University. The expression of E-cad, P120and Syn in21cases ofSPT and4cases of PEN were studied by immunohistochemical staining. The data wasanalyzed using SPSS13.0statistical analysis software. Results:(1) The average ages of75cases of pancreatic tumors patients was53.3years old,and the ratio of male tofemale was4:3.(2) Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma was the most common tumor of75cases of pancreatic tumors (40.0%), and the most common localization ofpancreatic tumors was the head of pancreas(62.7%),and the incidence ratio of head ofthe pancreas was3:2compared to the tail site.(3) The expression of P120werepositive in all21cases of SPT,while the expression of E-cad were all negative; Theexpression of P120and E-cad4were all positive in4cases PEN; the expression ofSyn was all positive in21cases of SPT and4cases of PEN. There is a significantdifference between the expression of E-cad and Syn in SPT and PEN (P<0.05).(4)The followed up of21cases of SPT and4cases of PEN were performed for8-78months,and there are no metastasis and recurrence among them except one patientdied of respiratory failure. Conclusion:(1) Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma was themost common tumor in pancreatic tumors, and the most common localization ofpancreatic tumors was the head of pancreas. The neuroendocrine differentiation wasshown in some SPT tumors.(2) To detection of expression of E-cad, P120and Syn byIHC can be used to make diagnosis of SPT and PEN due to their differentexpression pattern.
