Fever and some other symptoms will disappear after therapy, while cough will last for a long time and is difficult tocure. It’s called the post-infectious cough(PIC). In this study,carrying on the literature review from the traditional Chinese medicine to the name of PIC, pathogenic factors, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation and treatment,combined traditional Chinese with western medicine, and other aspecls.Chinese and Western medicine has its own theoretical system and treatment programs for PIC at present. For the pathogenesis of the disease, can not be determined, existing relevant studies show: Extensive inflammation of the respiratory tract, the respiratory epithelial cell damage, highly reactive airway are likely to lead to PIC. The disease is often self-healing.
