Finaly this study could supply evidence for the healthcare policy making in the future. Methods The data of death cause was based on the Annual Report on Death Cause and death data of Disease Surveillance Point of Gansu. The data of the Communicable disease was from the Notifiable disease surveillance of Centren for Disease Prevention and Contral from 1978 to 2007, the EAPC (Estimated Annual Percent Change) was used to anlyasis the trend of mortality rate and incdence of the diseases.Results1. Trends of death cause of the resident of Gansu province from 1992 to 20071.1 Trends of mortality and death order of the resident of Gansu province from 1992 to 20071.1.1 The crude death of the reisdent the mortality of the resident decreased slightly and the male’s mortality was higher than the female’s. During the period 1992 to 2007, the mortality of the 0-4 and 5-14 age group fell and its EAPC were-4.30%ã€-4.40% each, the highest mortality were the 0-4 and 60-age groups.1.1.2 The main system disease the percentage of people died of Respiratory Disease, Circulation System Disease, Malignant Neoplasm, Injury or Poisoning was 75% and these diseases were the main kinds of diseases of the resident of Gansu.1.2 The trend on mortality of the main sysytem diseases from 1992 to 20071.2.1 Trends of Respiratory Disease mortality the mortality due to Respiratory Disease were unsteady and the male’s mortality was higher than the female’s, the percentage of people died of chronic lower respiratory disease was 96.59%. the mortality due to pneumonia decreased and its EAPC was-9.79%, most of the people died of pneumonia was center on 0-4 yeas and over 60 yeas groups, but the highest mortality due to chronic lower respiratory disease was center on 45-59 yeas and over 60 yeas groups.12.2 Trends of Circulation System Disease mortality the mortality due to Circulation System Disease were unsteady and the male’s mortality was higher than the female’s. the percentage of people who die of Cerebrovascular disease and Heart disease was 91.86%, so Cerebrovascular disease and Heart disease were the main diseases. From 1992 to 2007, the mortality of Cerebrovascular disease increased (EAPC=2.43%), the mortality of the male (EAPC=2.33%) increased a little lower than the female’s (EAPC=2.43%), the mortality of Heart disease aslo increased (EAPC=5.97%), the mortality of the male (EAPC=6.72%) increased faster than the female’s (EAPC=5.23%), most of the people who die of Cerebrovascular disease and Heart disease were aged 45-group, and over 60 age groups.1.2.3 Trends of Malignant Neoplasm mortality the.mortality due to Malignant Neoplasm were unsteady and the male’s mortality was higher than the female’s. Alimentary canal neoplasm were the main kind of cancers, the over 60 age groups had the highest Alimentary canal neoplasm mortality of all the groups.1.2.4 Trends of Injury or Poisoning mortality traffic accident and suicide were the main reason for the people who die of Injury or Poisoning.2. Trends of Notifiable disease incidence of the resident of Gansu province from 1978 to 20072.1 Trends in incidence of Notifiable disease and the main Notifiable disease2.1.1 The incidence of Notifiable disease decreased (EAPC=-4.11%) during the period 1978-2007, hepatitis B,C, Pulmonary Tuberculosis show increasing while Dysentery, hepatitis A showed decreasing.2.1.2 The percentage of the incidence of intestinal infectious disease was 70.27%, Pulmonary Tuberculosis was the main kind of respiratory infectious diseases. hepatitis B was the main kind of blood-borne diseases.2.2 The main single Notifiable disease and its distribution charaeteristic2.2.1 Trends in hepatitis B incidence the incidence of hepatitis B increased (EAPC=11.18%) faster than the nation’s (EAPC=8.44%) from 1991 to 2007.69.77% of the hepatitis B took place in 14-55 years group.67.20% of the hepatitis B were farmer and students, particularly in the framer group (49.87%)2.2.2 Trends in of Pulmonary Tuberculosis incidence the incidence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis increased (EAPC=11.18%) faster than the nation’s (EAPC=8.44%) from 1997 to 2007, and the male’incidence is higher than the female’s. Most of Pulmonary Tuberculosis took place in over 60 years groups.73.90% of the hepatitis B were farmer.2.2.3 Trends in Dysentery incidence From 199-2007 the incidence of Dysentery decreased but the trend was unsteay. Most of Dysentery took place in 0-20 years group.53.75% of the hepatitis B were framer and children, the pupil group was 30.48%.2.2.4 Fom 1997 to 2007 the AIDS, HIV-infected patients and died cases increased 48.17%, 39.94%,40.97% per year respectively. The major mode of route of transmission was injection drug users (38.41%),21.46% of them was sexual transmission, and 19.53% was blood transmission. But in 2007 the major mode of route of transmission became sexual transmission (33.33%). Most of the HIV-infected patients were 20-49 years and particularly in the people whose education leavl were low such as farmer and unemployed.3. The life expectancy of the resident of Gansu province. The life expectancy was 72.10 years, the male’s was 70.38, and the female’s was 74.08 in 2007. The life expectancy was 71.21 years, and the male’s was 69.48, the female’s was 73.24 in 1995. Compared with 1995 the life expectancy in 2007 increased 0.90 years, the female’s increased 0.84 years. Conclusion The mortality of the resident decreased slightly, compared with 1995 the life expectancy in 2007 increased 0.90 years, the health condition of resident has improved. Chronic Lower Respiratory disease, Circulation System Disease, Malignant Neoplasm was the main kinds of diseased which infect the resident’s health. the mortality due to chronic disease such as Circulation System Disease increased during the past 16 years, especially the Cerebrovascular disease and Heart disease increased very fast. The infectious diseases such as pneumonia had been controled and its mortality had decreased. the incidence of Notifiable disease decreased (EAPC=-4.11%) during the period 1978-2007, hepatitis B,C, Pulmonary Tuberculosis had been increasing while Dysentery, hepatitis A had been decreasing. Based on the conclusion we have got from this study, we suggest the survey system for chronic disease should be established, the network of Community health should be completed. And the quality of Notifiable disease surveillance data sholud be improved, and effective measure should be taken to control the hepatitis B,C, Pulmonary Tuberculosis and AIDS in high risk group. We aslo should pay more attention to the health care of the rurul areas and economically underdeveloped areas, and the health condition of the disadvantaged groups such as eld and children. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | causes of death, mortality, proprotion of dying, Notifiable Disease, incidence, trend | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
