The Research On Religions In The Early Romen Empire

In the history of religion in the age of Western anciency, the Roman religion was not more creative and deversified than Hellenic religion, but Religious culture of Roman acrossed the narrow range beyond nations and races and connect the different nations and races around the Mediterranean areas. In return, the national religions in the areas conquered by Roman were all introduced into the center of the Roman Empire peacefully. In the big religion furnace of the Empire, the conflict among the thought of different religions occurred constantly,but the more was reference and influence by each other. and lay the solid foundation on following formation and development of the Christianity. The taking action make the religious development of earlirer Roman Empire great significance.This paper is a thesis about religious development in its earilier stage of Roman Empire which refers to the period before 3-Century-Crisis.We can find that it experienced great historical transformation and its prosperous time in that period. The development of religion in Roman Empire was the miniature of that time. In spite of the difference in the reseach of religion in that time,but because of its wonderful value and crucial role in the histoty, I have still sorted so many materials about this from various information in order to gasp the train of thought. This paper will be divided into three sections. First section is the introduction about Roman religious origins and evolution. Second section will be discussed the religious division and conflict in the early empire. Thirdly, the author will discuss the process of the Empire religious fusion with historical significance.
