The classical songs were introduced into China from the May fourth Movement in 1919. Many composers coming from overseas takes the romantic poets’ poems as the words of songs to create many Chinese classical songs by imitating the German and Austria composers. For example, the composer Xiao Youmei took the poet, Yi Weizhai’s poem as the words of song to composer the song Ask from 1921 to 1922; the composer Zhao Yuanren took the poet, Liu Bannong’s poem as the words to create the song how to make me not to remember him in 1926, then he took the poet, Xu Zhimo’s poem as the words to create the song the rhine in 1927; the composer Zhao Yuanren took the poet, Liu Daxiang’s poem as the words to create the song the ballad of selling cloth. All above the songs are the typical Chinese classical songs.In fact, the arias and the classical songs respectively take half the whole Bel Canto. However, the phenomenon of emphasizing the arias but ignoring the classical songs is not only the neglect of our national classical theories, but the queer circle of the practical singing. The main reason is that we are short for the real knowledge and awareness to the German and Austria classical songs. In my research, the artic research and essays in domestic research on Schuman are either about the summarizing research on his aesthetic ideas or his classical songs, such as the poets’ love, the women’s love and life. The recent researches do not reflect the all-dimensional and practical research.Therefore, it is urgent to research the creation and singing of Schuman’s classical songs. We can fully realize the value of the whole classical songs, by reading and understanding Schuman’s classical songs. Thus we can put the classical songs in the same important position with the arias and solve the phenomenon of the cripples in our country. That is to say, the all-dimensional research of Schuman’s classical songs can improve the research of the classical songs. Because Schuman’s classical songs play an important role in whole classical songs.Certainly, the research of Schuman’s classical songs is not the ultimate aim of the thesis, but the ultimate aim is to better sing Schuman classical songs. Because only sing for the art is the life and soul of the vocal music, so far, in my research, our country’s theoretical research on Schuman’s classical songs does not reach the all-dimensional breadth, or reach the aesthetics’height and depth. The thesis does a research on the three-dimension, unity, comprehensiveness and compoundness of Schuman’s classical songs and I try my best to achieve some height and depth.The thesis takes the creation of Schuman’s classical songs as the entry point, his musical theories as the assistance, his singing art as the destination. I strive to research the high value and deepen cognition of Schuman’s classical songs. I also strive to research the promotion of aesthetic qualities of Schuman’s classical songs including providing the theoretical enlightenment and dual frame of reference for the further study of Schuman’s classical songs.
