In the philosophical sense, Time and space means the moving material’s existenceand basic properties, the former reflects the order and continuity of the material motion, while the latter reflects the existence of material stretching and extensiveness. In theperspective of human cognition, time and space are two basic ways of human beingsperceive the world. In essence, the human existence is the existence in time and space. Therefore, the perception of time and space, meditation and expression, is an importantelement of human science and artistic creation. Qu Yuan’s “Asking Heaven” is thequestioning and confusion of time and space, the Roman theologian Augustine alsoexpressed the same confusion, for him, time was unutterable, one could feel but cannotexpress. Pursuit and confusion of events and space is mankind eternal tricky problem.Behind the perception of time, we can see the human beings’ struggle for understandingand grasping their own history and society; in the perception of space, however, showshow humans grasp, perceptive and constructive the relationship between themselves andthe outside world.“Space-time concept” refers neither specific methods of creation, nor its writingskills, but the writers’ cognition to the world, though it has a dominant role for the former.Literary narrative, especially the narration of fiction, are the art of narrative time andspace, which both research in the space-time narrative structure, in fact, it is anawareness of social and cultural research in another angle of view, and this is a verysignificant issue. The art world of the novel is profound and infinite mystery. However, itreflects the language arts actually. Therefore, from the perspective of time and space artto explore the novel artistic world has become an effective way to break through thetraditional theory of fiction. So far, this topic has not been made a thorough study, selecting the subject of inquiry, could ensure the novelty of the study, and expand theliterary studies of Chinese literature, hope it will advance the research depth.
