The Interpretation Of Yi Epic Song By Anthropology Perspective

This paper is in the perspective of anthropology to understand the foundation ofLuoLuo culture,one branch of Yi people’ culture,by analyzing the Yi Epic Song ofCopper Drum. First,it uses the prototype theory to interpretate the function andapplication of copper and drum in Yi people’ living as to show the worship of ancient Yipeople to copper, which is concentrated on the King of Copper Drum, LuoLuo’ shero,and refracts Yi people ’s heroic concept of history. Then it interpretates of the ritualsymbol in the Yi Epic Song of Copper Drum to reflect the specialty of Yi people ’scustom and culture,which also uses the gift in the Yi Epic Song of Copper Drum to seethe connotation and meaning of gift exchange in Yi society. Finally, the paper putsforward the second-creation of conception and meaning of he Yi Epic Song of CopperDrum.
