Research On The Storytelling Art Of Northern Shaanxi From Oral Poems Perspective

North Shaanxi story-telling is a kind of fork literature which is popular in Yulin andYanan city. From the existing audio and video material, it can be predicated that the rapcontent is pre-arranged by the teller. A mature storyteller can make it immediatelyaccording to a story of by improvisation. This ability is based on the ability to useflexible program.The focus of this paper is to apply the oral poetics theory to study North Shaanxistory-telling. The oral poetics theory’s essence is to use program, theme or situation andstory examples models to explain each steps of oral literature creature. This paper ismainly to study the programs and slipcase of North Shaanxi story-telling under thesethree units. Altogether this paper is made up of four parts.Chapter one is the introduction part, first of all, it makes research on the presentstudy of North Shaanxi story-telling, from this, the author finds that the research on it isnot enough and the application of oral poetics theory on North Shaanxi story-telling isnot feasible. The second part is about the programs in North Shaanxi story-telling. Itfocuses on the rhetorical devices and sentence structures of the programs which arefurther explained in structured and meaning programs. The third part is about the slipcase.It is the same thing of them or typical situation of oral poetics on the conceptual level.Slipcase has a fixed form, and has the stability and changeability. The last part is theconclusion. It mainly involves the disappearing problems of written and oral traditions.Then it challenges Lord’s view and rethinks the relationship between written and oraltraditions.
