Textual Research On Bayu Bamboo Music Dance

China has a long history of more than5000years, which makes it form a certainculture of multiformity. Dance has appeared in people’s life before the history ofsociety, and gradually, it has formed itself a unique cultural style after the gonedynasties. This thesis is mainly based on the textual research on bamboo dance of"bamboo culture"in Bayu areas. It is consisted with6sections. The principalresearch approaches includedocuments, observation, comparation and interdiscipline.The introduction section raises the significance of the research, which means thethesis sets research background on "bamboo"culture discovered in Tang Dynasty,trying to acquire the history culture type, local conditions and customs, artistic pursuitand learning the situation of the Bamboo Music Dance which make themselves the"regional mark"of Bayu areas. Section Two will give a brief introduction of theinfluence of the Bayu history, humanity and regional features to the Bayu culture andthen begin to probe into "bamboo"culture through Bayu culture. Section Three willselect Tang Dynasty-the most representative period-to analysis the greatinfluence of the independent bamboo poem to the Bamboo Music Dance. In SectionFour, by the time sequencing, the thesis will try to find the most important foundationwhich activated the Bamboo Music Dance through Bayu Dance-the archetype ofBamboo Music Dance; Tati Dance-rooted in the evolution of Bayu Dance; BaishouDance of Tujia-isogenous but non-synchronous with Bayu Dance and DalianxiangActivity-which is still popular among the residents today. Section Five will providetheory support for the activation and reappearance of Bamboo Music Dance through theresearch on the features of dance movement, musical background, singing, performance,raiment and properties of Baishou Dance-the "living fossil"of Bamboo MusicDance and Dalianxiang. The thesis will also analyze the existing Bamboo Music Danceplays, giving conclusions to the merits while raising some personal suggestions to theimperfect points. On the premise that following the Chinese traditional aesthetics, thethesis will combine features embodied from other kindred art styles and implementpractical operations under the guide of theories, finally provide the proof of feasibilityfor the activation of Bamboo Music Dance. The last section will make someconclusions. It will figure out that the Bamboo Music Dance is one of the representatives of Bayu culture. It reflects the integrity and tradition of Bayu people,and the activation of the Bamboo Music Dance carriesextremely high artistic value.In sum, the thesis is meaningful for the research and practice of the Bamboo MusicDance-the beautiful folk art in ancient(modern) Bayu areas.
