Based on existing cognitive susceptibility to depression, this research study on depressionindividual’s self-focused attentional bias, to a rich understanding of susceptibility to depressiontheory and research. In this study, first to the normal population for the study to the relationship betweenself-focused attention and depression, And then to depressed patients and normal subjectsfor the study, from the perspective of behavioral to research depressed patients withfeatures of self-focused attention. Finally, using fMRI study of depression in patients withbrain-imaging of self-focused attention. The results show that:1There is depression associated with self-focused attention(γ=0.259,P<0.01), and attention to the four dimensions of public self-consciousness, private body consciousness, private self-consciousness correlation, but notrelated to public body awareness, In self-focused attention and three dimensions (publicself-consciousness, private body consciousness, private self-consciousness),the lowdepressed group and high depressed group differences are significant. The high depressedgroup was significantly higher than the low depressed group.2, Recognition experiments in depression patients and normal subjects grouprecognition accuracy between the two groups was not significant, group difference wassignificant. In fact, when people face the negative information they always moresensitive and more concerned; when people focus on their negative always easy to noticethe negative message, and when people in the interest of others is always easier to focusthe positive aspects of the information; again, people face information on grief will takeevasive attitude, avoid things and their own grief and the people around together,. Pointdetection experiments with depression and normal subjects group response wassignificant difference between groups, no significant differences within the group.3,Depressed patients compared to normal subjects, in the "I" target stimulusconditions than in the "he"-target stimuli and the "*" to enhance the target stimulusconditions activated parts of the brain mainly in the cingulate gyrus, fusiform gyrus andtemporal on the back. Normal subjects compared to depressed patients without a validactivation. In patients with depression within the group paired analysis showed that the"I"-target stimulus conditions than the "*" target stimuli and "He" activated brain areas are enhanced cortex, prefrontal cortex, superior temporal gyrus, supramarginal gyrus, theamount of leaves eye area, thalamus, caudate back, temporal gyrus.Based on the above results, the conclusion: self-focused attention is indeedassociated with the depression. People are more sensitive to negative information. Inself-focused attention condition the depressed group is in the self-activation of morebrain areas than normal conditions. Indicating the existence of depression in patients withself-focused attentional bias,...
