Application Of Mulitimedia Technology In Qiang Nationality Intangible Cultural Heritages Protection

Qiang is one of China’s most ancient nationalities, which are inextricablytied upwith many ethnic groupsin China such as Tibetan and Chinese. In the long history ofevolution, the Qiang people created abundance of cultural heritages, especially theintangiblecultural heritages which from a deeper level show thehistorical memory ofthe Qiang nationality. They are the collective reflection of the Qiang nationalityhistory, from its birth, developmentto continuationprocess, which not only are basicto explore the history and culture of the Qiang nationality, but also are indispensableresourcesto studyhistory andculture of otherethnic groupswithin China.By using the methodof document study, case study and comparative analysis, thearticle explores the application of multimedia technology in Qiang nationalityintangible cultural heritages protection. The article briefly introduces the relevanttheory of cultural heritage protection, and then focuses on analyzing the currentsituation, achievements and problems, on this basis, aiming at application ofmultimedia technology to the protection of intangible cultural heritage, currentsituation and problems, the article provides the corresponding countermeasures andsuggestionsfor future improvement.
