In the world of today, globalization has become the trend of the times. While Economicglobalization brought a profound impact on the world economy, still led to a wide range of"resonance effect" on the politics, society, culture, ideology, information and other fields.With the aid of advanced information technology and mass media, worldwide cultures notonly accelerate the exchange and integration, but also get more opportunities to influence andcollide with each other. Global society and culture affect individual consciousness as well astheir goals of ideological, cultural, political and personal identity. All this makes thatnation-states have to shift their concerns from the field of military and economy to culture inthe international exchanges, so as to enhance the status of cultural security withinnon-traditional security.With the acceleration of globalization, the highlights of national culture security andcultural identity have become the new situation as well as an important part of nationalsecurity problem. Culture, as an important source of national cohesion and creativity,mutually integrating with economy and politics, is increasingly becoming an important factorof national competition in comprehensive strength. US-led Western countries, vigorouslypromoted cultural imperialism with the aid of strong economic strength occupied in theglobalization, which has greatly increased and highlighted the problems of the culturalsecurity and identity politics of developing countries including China. Facing the challenge ofcultural penetration and expansion brought by the United States and some western countries,in order to prevent the "molecular invasion" and "peaceful evolution" from western ideology,to study on our national cultural security and cultural identity in-depth and systematic, is ofextremely important theoretical and practical significance.The main contents of this thesis include:The first chapter is the introductory part, this paper firstly proposed the issue that wouldbe studied. The thesis is based on the characteristics of globalization era, described theimportance of culture within the national security, and then briefly illustrated that safeguarding national culture security and enhancing national culture identity, havesignificance to the great rejuvenation and peaceful rise of Chinese nation. Later, expoundedthe current studying situation home and abroad with respect to national culture security andnational culture identity, then pointed out the train of thought and methods of the study.The second chapter analyzed the connotation of globalization, national culture security,cultural identity and their relationships. To make the necessary definition and discussion aboutthe above-mentioned three relative basic theories (including concept, content, features, etc.),which is helpful to specify the specific content of scope held by the paper, and to limit thevisual field of studying of this thesis; On these basis, the author analyzed and constructing themodel to specify the relationship between the three, namely, globalization is the externalenvironment variable to generate the problems of national culture security and culturalidentity, and the relationship between national culture security and cultural identity just likecomplete set and subset, or the system and the element.The third chapter elaborated the problems of national culture security and culturalidentity at the globalization era. From the universal perspective of the national culture issues,respectively expounded that globalization exerts an effect on culture, culture security, andcultural identity. The globalization have made an impact on the closure of culture, whichleading to conflicts and integrations among different cultures; thus, it highlighted the status ofthe national culture security in national security strategy, and sparked the game of culturalidentity among nation-states, especially the emergence and spread of the global culturalidentity, to a certain extent, which weakening absolute identity of the traditional nation-state.The fourth chapter expounded the problems of China’s national culture security andcultural identity at the era of globalization. From the particular perspective of national cultureissues, the author made a concrete analysis of the main performances about the globalizationimpacting on our national culture security, and revealed some major factors lead to ournational culture identity induced by globalization.The fifth chapter put forward an overall strategy to build China’s national culture securityand cultural identity at the era of globalization. At the beginning of this chapter, based on therelational model of globalization, national culture security, cultural identity, applying thestudying methods, such as the system theory, control theory and structural functionalism, at the theoretical level the author deduced that: exploring for interactive construction betweennational culture security policy and cultural identity, so as to form the system effects ofnational culture security, which are the overall strategy to defense the impact of globalizationas external culture environment. Then under the guide of above-mentioned theory, at thepractical level the author established approaches to implement the strategy: on the one hand,constructing socialization channels of China’s culture security strategy from the perspective ofcultural identity; on the other achieving policy ways of our cultural identity under the strategyof national culture security.The last chapter made a brief review and summary of this paper.
