Research On Preservation Of Qingkou Hydro-junction Water Project Heritage

China Grand Canal is the earliest excavated, the longest duration and the longest flow path ofthe artificial river in the world. It connects five major river systems, runs across the three differentgeographical units, and forms the unique natural landscape, historical and cultural appearance alongthe river. Qing kou is located at the North of the Grand Canal Huaiyang Canal, the intersection zoneof the Yellow, Huai and Yun River,which had the most intensive treatment projectˋthe mostimportant status and technical achievements in Ming and Qing dynasties canal. It has be called themost intensive water projects remaining, the best state of preservation, the highest value areas in theline of the ancient canal, so water history and heritage experts to be hailed as "Water HistoryMuseum". It is an extremely important study of the node on the Grand Canal "big sites". Qingkouhydraulic system completely reflects the project intention brought up by the famous waterconservancy expert Pan Jixun "embankment beam of water, sand water attack, clear brush Huang,Paul Yun Ji canal". In addition, it represents the highest level of the management of the sandy riverin ancient times. This paper mainly adopt the strategies of Literature collection, field research,planning research and analysis, in order to do research on the Qingkou Hydro-junction Water ProjectHeritage.Firstly, based on the Yellow River won the Huai River in1128and the rechanelling of YellowRiver in1855as the junction, divide it history into three periods, and do research on the values ofQingkou junction. It has Canal Heritage’s four aspects: the technical, economic, landscape andsocial value. Qingkou Hydro-junction, its value is mainly reflected in three technical values forproject planning, design and construction.Secondly, based on the clear analysis of composition of the status of heritage, do research on the status of Qingkou Hydro-junction: at the moment, it has excellent reality and integrity. Thensummarize the main problems of the Qingkou Hydro-junction preservation status: most of theheritage don’t have effective conservation measures; Lack of protection and management institutionsand a unified coordinating association.Thirdly, concluded with the analysis, do research on the preservation of the Qingkou Junction.Mainly to protect the clear port hub sites and its background environment, in order to transit thehistorical and cultural information of the heritage. Based on the principle of real protection, completeprotection, continual protection and application of protection, takes relevant laws and regulationsand heritage field research as a basis for comprehensive consideration of the heritage of theboundary problem. To divide the Qingkou Junction into protected areas, the general protection zoneand construction control areas, and to formulate appropriate regulations.Finally, basis on the the protection of zone according to the characteristics of heritage body, inthe condition of the assurance of the integrity and reality of heritage body. Take minimumintervention and the continuity as the principle, take the reflection of heritage values andconservation as goals, formulate appropriate protection measures.
