In animation, color is one of the elements to enhance audiences’sense to find out the story content. It affects humans’intelligence and quomodo. The animation manner is classic or modern, artistic or realistic, powerful or cozy; it can say that color is the most important part in the animation creation and rendering the whole animation atmosphere. While, in human life, there are various color matching styles according to the different history, circumstances, society, ranks, cultures, regions and feelings.China traditional colors is the accumulation of Chinese life and culture during thousands years, which are reflected in every corners of life. As one of the vision form of China traditional element, it strong reflects China profound culture foundation and Chinese goodness, plain, wisdom and perseverance nation characters; and it represents the nation own ideology and aesthetic ideas. Therefore, this thesis tries to discuss how to create the animations accord with the aesthetic demand of present-day audience through the point that how China traditional colors affects China animation and its culture intension.Through the whole research, this thesis comparatively systematically analyzes the philosophy base, characters and rules of China traditional colors; and through abstracting the colors from China ancient architectures, Beijing opera facial masks, ink paintings and new year pictures, this thesis discuses the application of the China traditional colors in the animation creation, and analyzes the inherit and development of china traditional colors in animation creations, and the aesthetic effect for animation. It has important meaning for developing the culture in China traditional colors and forming local nation manner animations for us.
