The concept of The Appropriate Design points out a right direction where our design should go, yet it leaves us more puzzles about details to solve. We know what we need to accomplish, but never gave the detail about how.Based on such academic situation, the purpose of this study is to make the method of The Appropriate Design more specifically. The study consists of three parts: first is to analyze the specific connection between Adornment&Capability and The Appropriate Design; than base on what we learn from the connection, we follow through the part of coursing our problems, in that way, we solve it; finally, we prove the solution which we come up with is actually the one for The Appropriate Design.Start by building the connection between Adornment&Capability and The Appropriate Design. This step base on determine the range of The Appropriate Design which by lapping the definitions of The Appropriate Design from three different angles. It also helps us to prepare of making The Appropriate Design more specifically as one of these results.Then, by using The History of Design as a historical basis, guiding by The Philosophy Logical as a theoretical basis, we come to one conclusion:the connection between Adornment and Capability is the key to the problem of The Appropriate Design. This process help us make the connection specific, at the same time run down the options of making The Appropriate Design more specifically.Finally, we can solve the puzzle of The Appropriate Design by transform between the two contradictory opposites of Adornment and Capability. Proved by the practical examples of design as practical basis, we finally make The Appropriate Design more specifically.The theory is proved by The Philosophy Logical, The History of Design and The Practical Examples of Design. Only by this way allows us to improve the practical value of The Appropriate Design when we head to the right direction.
