The Anthropological Studies Of Human Dignity

Under the precondition of contemporary economic development, people are increasinglyconcerning about their living environment, and human dignity coming into their vision. Thepeople’s dignity needs base on mutual respect that formed in human exchanges. It reflects thatpeople are actively protecting their own interests and rights. The dignity play an important role inthe human development, concerning for and realizing human dignity are the inevitablerequirements of human and historical development. But when people reflect on the developmentof contemporary society, it shows that instead of realizing their own dignity , people are fartherand farther away from it. We must combine with the social reality to make a clear understandingof the problems that encountered in the contemporary development of human dignity. Only thencan we take reasonable measures to achieve human dignity and development under the guidanceof the scientific methodology.This subject is mainly divided into five parts:The first part, explain the meaning and characteristics of the dignity on anthology. First ofall, start from the conception of dignity to have a clear understanding of the dignity on anthology.Human dignity as a kind of social living conditions show that people are independent andinviolable in the social life. Secondly, point out that the basic attributes of human dignity ismoral supreme and equal.The second part, analyze the role of dignity in human development. It can be divided intotwo aspects. First of all, make a clear understanding of the connotation and the ideal goals ofhuman development through our research. Human development are free and full that refers to thedevelopment of everyone in the labor, social relations and individual quality. The ultimatepurpose of human development is everyone’s free and overall development. Secondly, point outthat the realization of the human dignity have great significance to human development. It canrealize the independence, freedom and equality of personality, improve our moral quality andprovide a good external environment for human development.The third part, analyze human dignity living conditions today. First of all, introduce ourachievements in the dignity development and the reasons of it. The achievements are as follows:the strengthen of subject consciousness, individual values to be respected and protected , equalrelations improved. Then analyze the reasons from the aspects of economic, political andlegislation. Secondly, analyze the problems of the dignity development in our country and thecauses of it. The problems reflected in three aspects mainly as follows: people are materialized and instrumentalzed, the injustice of human dignity and the vulnerable groups dignity are lack ofstrong protection. And then , analyze the causes of these problems from the aspects of economic,political, cultural and personal.Then, the fourth part discuss the methodology of achieving our dignity survival. Theprinciples that we need to uphold in the process of realization of human dignity mainly including:the combination of the doctrine that everything has two aspects and the key theory, thecombination of commonality and individuality, the combination of reality and future.Under the guidance of these methodologies above, the fifth part discuss the way to achievehuman dignity. First, pay attention to the construction of material civilization and achievingscientific, sustained and balanced development. Second, promote the building of politicalcivilization. Strengthening the institutional and legal construction to safeguard social fairness andjustice and protect human dignity. Third, accelerate the construction of spiritual civilization, andoptimizing cultural environment of the whole society. Finally, located on personal perspective,strengthening self-construction and realizing their own dignity through self-efforts. This is thefundamental way to achieve human dignity.
