Study On Marx’s Human Dignity Thought

Dignity, for human living, is the basic connotation, symbol and value. Dignity is inherent and its value is unique from person to person. Everyone’s dignity is meant to be respected and protected because it is inalienable. With the appearance of human being, honor appears. With the development of society, honor develops. Therefore, theoretical discussion of Marx’s human dignity contributes to comprehending human dignity a whole picture. With the development of economy, there have emerged many social unfairness, for example, imbalance of income distribution and inequality of education opportunities. If equal dignity is taken into consideration when dealing with these problems, they can be solved. Honor is the key to every people’s happiness life, the basic of society’s healthy development and the foundation of the Chinese Dream. Revealing human’s dignity to the greatest extent is what we should do to achieve the great rejuvenation. Thus, to achieve the Chinese Socialist Construction, it is meaningful to study Marx’s human dignity.This paper consists five parts. In the first part, the paper introduces the background and meaning of this topic and the work of scholars at domestic and overseas. This part also explains the research method and framework of this paper. The second part explains the close relationship between Marx’s human dignity with the Ancient Greek Philosophy, the Renaissance Philosophy, the German Classical Philosophy, the English Classical Political Economics and the French Utopian Socialism. The social forming background of Marx’s human dignity is also explained in this part. The third part describes the meaning of the word "dignity", the development of Marx’s human dignity thought. Marx’s human dignity can be explained in three aspects. Firstly, the precondition for people to acquire honor is to grow up freely and self-consciously. Secondly, the reflection of dignity for countries is to have national independence. Thirdly, to possess honor, liberation must be the ultimate aim for all human being. The forth part analyses the intrinsic value of human dignity. In the theoretical value of Marxian system, human dignity thought is significant. In reality, human dignity rebuilds human’s life style and criticizes capital reality. At last, it is of great significance to achieve the Chines Dream.
