Material,teacher and student form the classroom teaching instruction, and among the m material plays an bridge role,connecting the teacher with student.Although the formatio n process of the material takes all the principles such as scientificalness,systematicness an d interestingness into account, there are so many limitations for the usage of the material s. With the development of various teaching theories in recent years, especially the appli cation on constructivism, both teacher and student realize that it is not impossible for the development of our classroom teaching instruction only relying on "teaching material"and "learning material", therefor it becomes a crying need for the creative usage on material according to the actual situation.In view of the material limitation, using it creatively seems more and more importa nt. Firstly,teacher frees themselves from the material,and changes "teaching material" into "teaching with material"; student also changes "learning material" into "learning with ma terial", and with the guidance of teacher, seeks all kinds of knowledges connecting with his real need,then builds his own knowledge system gradually without any restrictions.With the guidance of "teaching by using material" conception,teacher must seek more using method for the teaching material. Among the various theories, constructivism is co nsidered as the most suitable with its rich teaching models and methods, such as Task-ap proach,Scaffolding-approach,Random Access-instruction and Anchored Instruction. Besides more and more specific teaching models appears in recent years, such as6-step construct ivestudy model and5E learning cycle model, and all of them will make a firm basis for the creative usage of the materials.This paper will start with the real teaching experience and make some attempt for t he creative usage in the background of constructivism, In view of the material limitation, using it creatively seems more and more important. Firstly,teacher frees themselves from the material,and changes "teaching material" into "teaching with material"; student also ch anges "learning material" into "learning with material", and with the guidance of teacher, seeks all kinds of knowledges connecting with his real need,then builds his own knowle dge system gradually without any restrictions.The frame of it is as follows,Chapter one focuses on the significance and research reason of this thesis,meanwhile it will make a introduction on the previous research and the researching method; Chapter two will step into more details about all kinds of theories and concepts connecting with creative usage, including definition and role of the material, concept on creative usage an d introduction on some teaching models related with creative usage in the scope of const ructivism; As the most important part, chapter three will focus on the two times’ materia1using experience, especially the second one in the background of constructivism, mean while it will show the comparison and make further analysis on that; The last chapter w ill make a summary on two times’ using experience and the whole paper,and will propos e some suggestion for the future research.
