For the majority of foreign students who come to China to learn Chinese, theirbiggest dream is to use fluent Chinese to communicate with Chinese people.Therefore, experts and scholars are trying to exploring a typical and standardizedteaching model which can improve the learner’s communication ability efficiently.How to effectively improve the communicative ability in listening and speakingof Chinese learners? According to one-year’s teaching practice, I have been trying tofind a teaching mode with the combination of listening and speaking by makingaccess to massive related research and information.The paper first mentioned the development of TCFL cause and analyzed theadvantages and disadvantages of the current teaching model, propose the ILSTM(integration of listening and speaking teaching method).The second chapter theoretically analyzed the common neurophysiologic basisand cognitive psychology basis of ILSTM. Based on the second language acquisitiontheory, the language input and output theory, the language information processingtheory, the language social construction theory and the latest frame semantics theory, Iproved that ILSTM is a scientific teaching method in the line with linguistic laws.The third chapter explained the integration of listening and speaking teachingmethod, mainly focusing on the framework of the ILSTM model and the classroomteaching design. The forth chapter is the experimental study on ILSTM teachingpractice, confirmed that the ILSTM can help to improve the students’listening andspeaking skills simultaneously, help to mobilize the students’interest and enthusiasm,help to improve the classroom efficiency. And ultimately improve students’listeningand oral speaking ability and communicative competence which achieved the goal ofthe experience.
