Through the analysis of the image of the characters, Itshows people’s chaos mind in the complexity and modern society, trying to find thereasons and the solution, avoiding people’mind at the brink of collapse.Spirit analysis theory as the cornerstone of the modern psychology, its influencehad already beyond the category of the clinical psychology treatment. Since the 20thcentury, it affected every corner of the humanities with its powerful influence. As thefounder of psychoanalytic theory, Freud’s theory is not only describe the surfacephenomenon, but payying more attention to reveal the unconscious, emphasize theinstincts and unconscious. This kind of deep excavation of unconscious, provides anew perspective as characters analysis of a text. This thesis mainly consists of four chapters:ChapterⅠ, by the spirit analysis theory to explain the black note, the red note, theyellow note of The Golden Notebook. At the end ,it summarized thesignificance and value of this thesis, and the existing limitations , put forward to therequirements and prospects on the future.Through the analysis of Freud’s psychological theory, we see Anna as arepresentative of modern men has to face a variety of mental crisis, further thinkinghow to make people look for the vitality in the plight of spirit, and finally come out ofthe haze regain a new life.
