The Research Of The Northwest Battlefield Service Corps

The Northwest Battlefield Service Corps was named XiZhanTuanfor short. The XiZhanTuan was the first omnibus literary team whichwas established after the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War. Thegroup had been existence for seven years from the year of 1937 to1944, which was established in 1937 and incorporated into theLuXun art institute in YanAn 1944. These years the XiZhanTuanacted in the ShanXi-Chahaer-Hebei border areas, and the long timecould be divided into two phases. The first stage it was leaded bythe famous writer Ding Ling. The members went to ShanXi front inAugust 1937, than they went back to YanAn in August 1938. In thesecond stage, the leader was the outstanding composer andmusician Zhou Weizhi. They went to the ShanXi-Chahaer-Hebeiborder areas again in the fall of 1938, and pull the literaturepublicity job off in the April of 1944. The team worked in forces andcountries and obtained some achievements. At the same time, thegroup educated hundreds of literary backbones for the local. So,XiZhanTuan played an important role for the art movement duringwartime and the history of the Chinese theatre.The thesis is made up of five parts. In addition to the introductionand conclusion, it will do research as detailed and in-depth as main members to the plays. The first chapter is going to give anaccount of the establishment and the development of the servicegroup, it is divided into two times because of different acting steps,they are the developing time and the flourishing time. In view of thedifferent main leaders, the second chapter will introduce Ding Ling,who is the famous writer and the famous musician Zhou Weizhi, andgive main attention to their drama activities. On the basis of above,the last part of the paper perform an analysis to the plays which areoriginal works and transplantation works, than the artisticcharacteristics of the plays are summarized. Besides, the effectsand the reasons of the propaganda in war are discussed.As a carrier of the playing behind the enemy lines, XiZhanTuan’sperformances and creation have the distinct characteristics of thetime. It has made certain contribution in the emergency periodwhich is the time of Anti Japanese War. The writer try to restore aactually look of XiZhanTuan though literature review, in themeantime, the paper find out the reasons of the characteristics ofthe plays, which just want to added the study of the literature ofLiberated Area.
