Since Korea and China established diplomatic relations in1992, trade contacts between Korea and China have been increasing closer. Chinese language is playing a more and more important role in Korean society. More and more parents request their children to learn Chinese from their childhood. Korea Ministry of Education also actively sets up Chinese elective course at all primary schools, middle schools as well as colleges and universities. I have the honor to teach Chinese in Yongin High School in Gyeonggi Province in Korea from June,2011to June,2012. Through this event, I have experienced the model of teaching with "Korea characteristics" completely different from that of Chinese overseas students.This paper selects Chinese teaching situations in Gyeonggi Province in Korea as the research of study and adopts many research methods including questionnaire survey research, quantitative analysis research and comparative study and field survey study to collect and set the data as well as to conduct statistical analysis. This paper further discusses some issues existing in phonetics teaching in senior high schools in Korea and aiming at these issues, puts forward specific suggestions for improving phonetics teaching in senior high schools, starting with two parts:the overall design as the basis of teaching Chinese and classroom teaching as the central link among four major links in teaching Chinese as second language. This paper is mainly divided into three major parts:introduction, body and conclusion, where the body is divided into three chapters.Introduction:this part introduces the motives of this research project, realistic significance and theoretical significance of this subject, summarizes relevant previous researches, defines the object of study and introduces the research methods.Chapter â… :introduction to Chinese teaching situations in senior high schools in Korea. First briefly introduce the history and current situations of Chinese teaching in Korea and then introduce the mode of "team teaching" in Korea, and also analyze the application of the mode of "team teaching" in phonetics teaching.Chapter â…¡:investigation of Chinese phonetics teaching in senior high schools in Korea. I handed out questionnaires to Chinese teachers and students in eight senior high schools in Gyeonggi Province in Korea. The research contents include personal information, teaching ways, knowledge about phonetics and phonetics teaching.Chapter â…¢:thinking of Chinese phonetics teaching in senior high schools in Korea. This chapter through the investigation and analysis in the previous chapter raises relevant teaching suggestions in two aspects:overall design and classroom teaching respectively.Conclusion:summarize and sum up the research results and out forward shortages of this paper and future research directions. I hope this paper can play a guiding role in researches on Chinese phonetics teaching for senior high school students in Korea.
