Research On The Ping-han Railroad Workers Of Nanjing National Government:1927-1937

Ping-Han Railroad is one of the most important public railroad of Nanjing National Government, it across Hebei Henan and Hubei provinces. The Ping-Han Railroad carries the important task of the passenger, cargo and soldiers transported. The Ping-han Railroad workers worked very hard, they made an indelible contribution to the construction and development of the Ping-han Railroad.We selected The Ping-Han Railroad workers as the object of study between1927to1937. This paper divided into four parts. The first part we introduced the situation of The Ping-han Railroad workers.we analyze from the formation and development of the workfoce, the internal structure of the workers and their living conditions. The second section describes The Ping-Han Railroad workers under the administration of the party and government. We explored the influence to the workers from the promulgation of laws and regulationgs and personnel changes. The third part we proved form the workers in the labor unions, starting form the formation and the development of the labor unions, in depth study of the workers in the stratification. The fourth part analysis the self-identity of The Ping-Han railroad workers, the workers create wealth, they win the rights and they conflict with the authorities. The workers gradually unite together to form their self-identity. In the conclusion of this paper, we will compare the Ping-Han Railroad workers with the textile workers in order to deepen the understanding of the Ping-Han Railroad workers.The Ping-Han Railroad workforce continued to grow between1927to1937. The Ping-Han railroad workers are with both the complexity and special groups. Their fate is closely linked to the railroad, directly determines the living conditions of the workers. Their stability and unity play very important roles in promoting political stability and economic development, that is the reason why the government pay much attention to the workers. The workers struggle for their wages, better working environment and the right of education and health. The process when the workers create wealth for the society, fight for their own interests and struggle, they formed Self-identity for the railroad workers.
