Chaoxian Records, compiled in Kangxi Dynasty, is the first local records in Chaoxian county with local characteristics, focusing mainly on nature, social, politics, economy, culture, military and humane. It is of great academic value not only in researching on the history of Anhui Province, but in researching on the history of Late Ming and Early Qing Dynasty.The whole paper mainly divided into three charpters.Charpter1introduces the construction of the organizational system for Chaoxian and the background of its compilation. It analyzes the political, economic and cultural background in the early Qing Dynasty.Charpter2discusses the characteristic of the compilation from two aspects:the division of the compilers and the typical classification of its compiling system.Charpter3investigates the historical value of Chaoxian Records in the aspects such as economy, natural science, tourism and military of the area. It’s also the key of the paper. This Local Records is of special value and geographical feature. It’s the important document of the research on the Chaoxian’s history of the early Qing Dynasty.
