Confucianism for thousands of years of Chinese feudal society to becomes China’straditional ideology and culture of the main vein. It has played a very important roleon the formation of the fine Chinese moral tradition. Xunzi is a Confucian school, anout standing representative of the pre-Qin philosophers thought synthesizer. Themoral learning of the practice thought he raised has much feature, which is anunneglectable and precious heritage. This article takes the moral learning of thepractice thought as the point, analyzes the basis of the idea of the moral learning ofthe practice, expounds systematically its basic content, and finally points to itshistorical value and practical significance.Firstly, this article analyzes the basis of the moral learning of the practice thought.The birth of the moral learning of the practice thought has the special political andeconomic background, which is the gradual establishment of the feudal privateownership system of land and established the feudal system on the basis of thisturbulent reform and political reform. At the same time, as the outstanding figures inthe Confucian school representatives and pre-Qin, the moral learning of the practicethought that Xunzi put forward deeply influenced by the thinking of Confucius andMencius, and Taoism of ancient Mohist, Legalist related ideas.As the same as the other pre-Qin thinkers, Xunzi also made his own understandingof the basic meaning and content of the moral "learning" and "practice", and made outfurther exploration about their methods. On the "Learning" aspect, Xunzi paidattention to the accumulation of moral knowledge, "charity and morality","self-reflection" and "reflect on self-preservation". On the "practice" aspect,Xunzipaid attention to "acquired influence" and "personal example demonstration", andthought people should make "self-reflection" and "correct mistakes ". On therelationship between "learning" and "practice", Xunzi is the first thinker took out thesystem thought that "practice" is more important than "learning" in the history. He took "practice" as the purpose of "learning" and thought that "learning" is onlyimplemented in a specific "practice" to have practical significance. In addition, Xunzithought the "practice" can expand the known line experience and test the "learning",these are the important breakthrough of the "learning" and "practice".Xunzi’s moral learning of the practice thought has a unique historical value.Compared with Confucius, Mencius, and pre-Qin, Xunzi moral learning line thinkinghas its own characteristics: First, this idea is built on the basis of a clear theory ofhuman nature of the evil nature of humans; Second, Xunzi moral idea of learning linehas a unique perspective of self-cultivation methods; again, based on the unique basisof the theory of human nature and self-cultivation methods, perspectives, Xunziunique moral habits. As the pre-Qin moral learning line master of thought, Xunzi’smoral learning of the practice thought is to a concentrated expression of the characterof China’s ancient sages of Practice,which affects generation after generation ofthinkers. The uniqueness of their ideas is undoubtedly deepened the effection ofXunzi’s moral learning of the practice thought to the future generations. Regardlessof the Han Dynasty Yang Xiong, Song and Ming Zhang Zai, Ercheng, Zhu Xi, LuJiuyuan, Ming and Qing Wang Fuzhi and even just Mao Zedong, their minds can seethe traces of Xunzi’s moral learning of the practice thought. However, as the thinkerof the feudal system established period, Xunzi’s moral learning of the practicethought conforms to a certain extent the development needs of the times and haspositive significance on developping people’s initiative and stressing the importanceof the practice, but also inevitably have to show some limitations.The analysis about the positive and limitations of Xunzi’s moral learning of thepractice thought can help us excavate its realistic significance. Abandoning thenegative aspect of Xunzi’s moral learning of the practice thought, Xunzi’s morallearning of the practice thought, especially its moral learning the ways and means ofline to some extent, reflects the moral understanding of the formation, developmentand transformation of the law to some extent. First, Xunzi’s moral learning of thepractice thought built on a clear theory of human nature of the evil nature of humanson the basis. Second, the method of "personal example demonstration" plays an important role on Modern Moral Education. Grasping the parents of the children,teachers, students, cadres’s teaching demonstration of the masses as well as adults tominors, can strengthen the effect of the implementation of moral education. Third, the"self-preservation and self-reflection" can help train people in shaping the personalityand the formation of the moral aspects of self-discipline. Fourth, the unified approachof "learning" and "practice" provides an important evaluation criteria for the moraltraining.
